Boots appeal a winner

ABBOTSFIELD funeral directors in Ledbury are appealing for unwanted football boots to help African children and youths enjoy soccer.
Funeral director Jo Gardiner said she has been pleased by the response since the appeal opened at the Bye Street office two weeks ago, with an average of one pair a day being donated.
She said: “This is the time of year when clubs and individuals will be cleaning out old kit and we ask them to support this charity.”
The international charity in question is called Teabag.
Boots can be donated at Abbotsfield during normal opening hours, Monday to Friday, from 10am to 4pm.
The appeal ends at the close of September.
