PUBLIC toilets in Newent are to be refurbished this winter.
Forest of Dean District Council plans to update all its conveniences between now and next May, with work starting in Cinderford this week.
Toilets will be closed while the work takes place but portable toilets will be provided instead.
Coun Brian Robinson, cabinet member for efficiency and planning policy, said: “These improvements to our public facilities throughout the district will benefit both local people and visitors, and confirms the council’s commitment to improving our community services.”
