Fundraising target smashed for Herefordshire soldiers

A CHARITY helping injured soldiers from a Herefordshire regiment has smashed its fundraising target.

Care for Casualties wanted to collect £100,000 to continue providing care for those in the Rifles infantry regiment.

The appeal only began in January and included a successful Gala evening at Homme House near Ledbury, helping the total reach £115,000, with donations still coming in.

The group aims to give support to the severely wounded, their families and the families of Riflemen killed in action.
