BROMYARD’S unique independent shops are the subject of a photography exhibition at Hereford Cathedral this month.
Entitled Bromyard Forever and shot by photo-journalist Andrew Fox, the exhibition allows viewers a glimpse into the diversity and resilience demonstrated by local store owners.
The town is well served by independent retailers and producers with two greengrocers, three butchers, two bakers, four pubs, a joinery workshop and numerous other shops selling a wide range of products.
The black-and-white images capture the unique well-known local faces in their most familiar environments and were commissioned by Bromyard and District Local History Society.
The exhibition, part of Hereford Photography Festival 2009, will run at the cathedral until Sunday, June 21 before heading to Bromyard Heritage Centre on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26.
