A MUSICAL evening of two halves awaits in Whitbourne next month.
Tim Dalling, from the New Rope String Band, brings his solo show to Whitbourne village hall on Saturday, October 29, at 7.30pm, as part of the Arts Alive autumn and winter programme.
In the first half he performs The Unhappy King using masks, puppetry, shadows and music to take the audience on a voyage into the hilarious world of miserable kings, tortured jesters and the search for the happiest man alive.
Then using his accordion, he will perform some of his own songs as well as those created from poems by Louis MacNeice, Sean O’Brien and Julia Darling.
Tickets are priced at £7 for adults and £4 for children. For tickets call 01886 821684.
