THERE'S a new name along the top corridor at Worcestershire construction giant Thomas Vale, where Craig Tatton has been appointed managing director. He succeeds Gary Mail, who, according to a statement from the Stourport on Seven headquartered company, has told the management team he will be leaving Thomas Vale "to pursue some new

challenges."

Mr Tatton has more than 25 years’ experience working in the UK construction sector, holding a number of senior positions at businesses like Laing, Miller, ISG and Willmott Dixon, operating across a number of regions within the country. In his role as managing director, Mr Tatton will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation and future direction of Thomas Vale. He will report to Madani Sow, chairman of parent company Bouygues UK and is a member of the Bouygues UK leadership team with immediate effect.

Tony Hyde, as chairman of Thomas Vale, will continue to focus on client relationships and business development across both the private and public sectors to support the business. In addition, he will continue to focus on his wider Bouygues UK responsibilities as corporate responsibility director.

Madani Sow, chairman of Bouygues UK said: “I am extremely pleased to welcome Craig to both the Thomas Vale and Bouygues UK team. His leadership qualities, extensive industry knowledge and proven business plan delivery, will continue to enhance the performance of Thomas Vale and help us to maintain our market-leading position.”

Mr Tatton added: "Thomas Vale is a company which has been known to me for many years due to its award-winning projects and strong business ethos. I am very proud to have the opportunity now to build upon the solid foundations of Tony’s leadership and I look forward to working together with our Bouygues UK colleagues to achieve our goals. My primary focus over the coming months is to enhance our service offering to our clients; focusing on the leadership, skills and experience of the Thomas Vale teams to drive business growth and re-position Thomas Vale at the forefront of industry leaders.”
