AN award winning communications and events company has made two new short films showcasing the care of St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester.

The work of drpgroup of Hartlebury, they illustrate how patients and their loved ones are supported in the day hospice and In-patient unit at the hospice in Wildwood Drive, Worcester.

The films have been produced at no charge and hospice care director June Patel said: “We are absolutely delighted with them. Our team of nurse specialists who visit patients in the community wanted to be able to show them and their families what it would be like coming into our hospice for either day care or a stay in the In-patient unit. Often patients are anxious and don’t realise what a bright, comfortable, homely place the hospice is, full of smiles, love, care and compassion and set in beautiful gardens. We are extremely grateful to the drpgroup for their skill and expertise filming our patients and staff in a sensitive way and producing such an excellent illustration of our care.”

Dagmar Mackett, director of drpvideo, explained: "Although a lot of our work is on a national and international basis, we very much consider ourselves part of the Worcestershire community, and as such we are extremely proud and happy to be able support organisations such as St Richard’s.” Phil Whitehead, the films’ director, added: "It was a pleasure to make the films for St Richard’s Hospice, as they will provide a useful guide for patients. Filming there for two days, it was evident that everybody at the hospice does fantastic and inspiring work for the local community/."
