A SPECIALIST Worcestershire recruitment firm is set to create 20 new jobs over the next 18 months.

Engineering and automotive experts Consilium Group, which has an office in Stourport-on-Severn, is looking to almost double its 30-strong team by early 2016 following a period of growth and a number of new clients across the automotive, aerospace, engineering and energy sectors, including major brands like Jaguar Land Rover, Dyson, Shell and Maclaren.

Russell Tuck, director of Consilium Group, said: “Business in the automotive, manufacturing and engineering sectors continues to thrive and that has meant employers seeking more staff with the right mix of essential skills. We’re delighted that over the past 13 years we’ve been able to provide the highly skilled professionals so many firms have been craving, and certainly over the past 12 months we’ve been able to make our mark not just in the UK, but in mainland Europe too. That increase in clients and confidence showed us that it was the right time to begin expanding our own workforce and offer new recruitment jobs.”

As part of Consilium Group’s plans it has also recently ploughed £500,000 into purchasing a two storey office in Stratford-upon-Avon as new headquarters, while retaining its second base in Stourport.

The new office was officially opened by Stourbridge-born touring car driver Matt Neal, the three-time British Touring Car Championship winner who now races as part of the Honda Yuasa Racing Team. Neal, 47, won the championship in 2005, 2006 and 2011.
