HEATING and hot water technology company Worcester, Bosch Group steamed ahead of the opposition at the the 2014 Best Factory Awards.

The company from Cotswold Way claimed top prize in the best supply chain management, environment and energy award and best engineering plant categories.

Each of the three awards saw the manufacturer recognised for the quality-driven practices and commitment to innovation demonstrated at its headquarters, where the Which Best Buy Award winning Greenstar range of gas-fired condensing boilers is produced.

Bob Murdoch, manufacturing director at Worcester, Bosch Group, said: β€œIt is a real honour for us to be acknowledged with as many as three prestigious awards given strong competition in each category. Almost a third of our company's 1,500-strong workforce is employed in a manufacturing capacity and these awards are a testament to each and every one of our staff who strives to set and maintain the best standards. Our pledge to invest in ongoing research and development, and supply chain enhancements ensures we are able to consistently deliver efficiently manufactured products designed specifically for UK homes. This achievement underlines just how well our business continues to perform.”

The Best Factory Awards, which are run in partnership between Works Management magazine and Cranfield School of Management, have been celebrating the UK's outstanding manufacturing talent since 1992.
