IT may not be that the two men from Abba have joined Worcester technology specialists Postcode Anywhere, but the arrival of Bjorn and Danny is worth a song and dance.

Because the two senior appointments to the management team of the Diglis-based company will drive its next major phase of growth.

Bjorn Wallin joins Postcode as project manager working specifically on the company’s newest innovation to be launched early next year. Born and educated in Sweden, Mr Wallin gained a Master of Law qualification at Stockholm University. He arrives from global ticket outlet and distribution provider Live Nation Entertainment, formerly known as Ticketmaster.

His role at Postcode will involve project managing and unveiling a new big data service called Triggar, which will be launched in early 2015. “My appointment at Postcode Anywhere is a brilliant opportunity. My role involves building something new within a fantastic team in an expanding organisation with very ambitious targets,” said Mr Wallin.

Also taking up a senior role as business development manager is Canadian born Danny O’Boyle. His appointment involves nurturing and developing strategic relationships with Postcode Anywhere’s key international clients such as Canada Post. His remit will be to replicate and manage similar relationships with other global postal providers.

Mr O’Boyle joins the company from optical media specialists Microboards Technology and arrives at Postcode at a critical time in its development. “ The culture and ambition of the company was what initially appealed to me, along with using my years of sales experience of working with what are known at Postcode Anywhere as “Big Friends” or large partners,” he said.

Chief executive Guy Mucklow added: "I have been really impressed by the impact that both Danny and Bjorn have made on the business in a very short time. Their knowledge and experience will be invaluable to us as we look to grow the company, while their different cultural backgrounds are also very positive for the business. “
