A CAMPAIGN to boost Worcester’s profile this Christmas is gathering momentum.

Worcester BID, which aims to increase trade for the city centre’s businesses, has organised the promotion that gives people shopping and going out in Worcester the opportunity to enter a Golden Ticket prize draw for nearly £400 worth of prizes.

Head of Worcester BID Adrian Field said “This year’s Worcester BID Christmas campaign is anticipated to be seen by just under four million people throughout Worcestershire and neighbouring counties. We are proud of what our city has to offer and want to continue supporting our businesses through marketing campaigns like this in future years.”

To enter the prize draw, people need to pick up a Golden Ticket while they shop, eat or play at participating city centre businesses, which comprise a mix of more than 300 quality shops and more than 140, restaurants, pubs and cafés and bars, with many of them having tickets for this free prize draw in store for their customers.

A mix of vouchers, products and experiences has been contributed to the prize fund by local businesses including 23 Knots (High St), Anja Potze (Friar St), Bill’s (Chapel Walk), Carluccio’s (Chapel Walk), Embrace (Reindeer Court), Game Station (Broad St), Knowles Sports & Knowles Travel Goods (Broad St), Sub Studio Photography (Copenhagen St), Toys & Games of Worcester (Broad St), Waterstone’s (The Shambles) and Wicked Hair (High St).

Nadja von Dahlen, Worcester BID events and marketing Officer, said: “We are very pleased to announce that the prize fund continues to grow thanks to the generous donations by our local businesses. Businesses are once again really enthusiastic about the Golden Ticket prize draw, as it is a great opportunity to give something back to their loyal customers.”

The draw runs until December 31 and forms part of Worcester BID’s Worcester Wonderland campaign. This Christmas campaign aims to promote the city’s quality and diverse offer to attract people into Worcester and keeping them in the city rather than travelling elsewhere.
