FOLLOWING a series of new business wins and the growth of existing accounts, marketing agency Gough Bailey Wright is expanding.

There are two new faces in the PR department of the Bromsgrove company. Simmie Korotane, joins GBW as senior account manager, and Sarah Taylor as account manager.

With a master’s degree in marketing, Mrs Korotane discovered a passion for PR when she embarked on her career in the industry more than 13 years ago. Among the accounts she will be working on will be Bobby’s Foods and Thomas Horton LLP Solicitors.

“As the longest running marketing agency in the West Midlands, GBW has a reputation that is testament to its work,” she said. “It is the perfect place to further develop my career and I’m really excited about the challenges ahead.”

Journalism graduate Miss Taylor, aged 33, also brings a wealth of PR and internal communications experience to the consultancy. Having started her career as a regional news reporter, she will be working on accounts that include Drayton Manor, Bromsgrove District Housing Trust and Bovis Homes.

Gough Bailey Wright employs 27 people at its offices in Worcester Road, Bromsgrove. First established in 1936, it provides both traditional and online communications across its public relations, community affairs, digital and creative departments.

Managing director Sue Bailey said: “Growing our PR team is a reflection of the agency’s success and we are delighted to introduce more new talent following a period of growth. The recruitment of high calibre employees is very important and I’m sure Simmie and Sarah will be an asset to the business.”
