IT was posh frocks and smart suits for the employees of IT firm OGL Computer when it held a winter wonderland themed dinner dance at the Chateau Impney, Droitwich, to celebrate a successful 2014.

The company which has sites in Stourport on Severn and Kidderminster now has more than 240 staff and from 98 nominees, 13 were recognised with an OGL staff award, ranging from technical innovation to above and beyond and top sales achievement.

Debbie Byrne, OGL operations director, said: "It’s very important to us, particularly as a family run company, that we show just how much our staff are valued. We thought hosting a party where staff and their partners could let their hair down, dress to impress and socialise with colleagues was a great way of doing so. We had some fantastic award winners this year, which demonstrates the skill and expertise people have in the Wyre Forest. We’ve grown significantly since our humble beginnings selling typewriters in 1976 and it’s important we, as a company, take time to reflect on our achievements over the last year, and indeed the past 39 years, as we head towards our 40th birthday next year.”

After a three course meal, everyone shook it down by dancing to live band Soul Town.
