AN atmospheric charity dinner event aimed at the local business community will take place at the Bank House Hotel, Bransford on the evening of Thursday, March 26.

The Secret Elephant Show promises good food, drink, company, theatre and music. Worcestershire and Herefordshire based charity Onside, in association with the University of Worcester’s department of drama and performance and supported by main sponsor King’s School, Worcester are planning "an unusual, amusing, entertaining and stimulating evening".

Chairman of the Onside Board of Trustees, Carol Chapman explained: "It’s a great opportunity for business leaders to network, enjoy a night out with colleagues, to tick that ‘corporate responsibility’ box and to have fun. Most importantly it’s an opportunity to support Onside to help those in the community less fortunate than ourselves. It’s a positive social and commercial thing to do – helping to build stronger communities, and our region to thrive.

"We called it The Secret Elephant Show because it’s all about the ‘elephant in the room’, the things that people feel they can’t talk about. But it’s just possible that the Secret Elephant may appear during our event. The evening has something of a Victorian music hall theme, but we’re not revealing too much about the very exciting dramatic content.

“It certainly seems to really have captured the imagination. Tickets are selling fast, only a few sponsorship opportunities remain and donations for the grand prize draw are flooding in. It promises to be a very special evening indeed.”
