THERE have been two promotions in the employment and immigration department of law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys.

Claire Thompson has now been made a partner and Amandeep Halet has been promoted from solicitor to associate.

Ms Thompson advises employers of all sizes on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues and has particular expertise in advising on large-scale business re-organisations and business transfers in the context of corporate acquisitions and disposals. She is an experienced employment tribunal advocate and delivers training and seminars on a wide range of employment and HR topics. Ms Thompson also heads the firm’s thriving immigration team dealing with business immigration including sponsorship, visas under the points based system and ancillary family and dependants visas.

Miss Halet joined the firm's employment team in October 2011 having completed her training at DLA Piper UK LLP in Birmingham. She has experience of acting for major PLC and FTSE 100 clients in relation to both national and international employment law issues. Miss Halet advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters. She is also extensively involved in assisting with employment aspects of corporate transactions including business transfers, corporate restructuring, and acquisitions.
