A WORCESTER pharmacy turned out a winner at the 2015 Alphega Pharmacy Regional Awards in Telford.
Giles Pharmacy in Cranham, Drive, Warndon, run by Monika and Archie Unger, took the title for best in the south-west England and south Wales area.
It was nominated by business mentor Miles Benstead, who said: "After an extensive refit, and empowering their team with leadership and decision-making capabilities, this pharmacy now has a new lease of life. It offers a wide range of services, including smoking cessation, flu vaccinations and NHS health checks, and Monika and Archie are truly committed Alphega members, who provide a great example of the best in community pharmacy.”
Attended by more than 350 delegates, including Alphega Pharmacy members and a number of leading pharmaceutical manufacturers, the annual conference provides an opportunity to hear about new services and solutions being developed by Alphega Pharmacy, designed to help pharmacies grow their business.
Each regional winner receives a trophy and a cheque for £1,000 and will automatically be entered into the Alphega Pharmacy National Award, worth £5,000, plus an all-expenses paid trip to the next Alphega Pharmacy Europe Convention.
