THE Midlands Air Ambulance's free will writing initiative has really taken off in Worcestershire.

The charity partnered with law firm HallmarkHulme in Worcester to offer the service, which is available to the over 55s, and since it launched in July 2014, nearly 30 people – more than three times the number of some other areas – have either made or updated an existing Will in the county. In the process and as a thank you to Midlands Air Ambulance, they have left a nominal amount to the service as part of their legacy.

Trish Venables from HallmarkHulme, said: “Making or changing your Will is very simple, but vitally important as it means your estate is passed to those you intended it to go to. We are delighted so many people have already used Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Free Will Writing Service, and assisted the charity’s cause at the same time."

Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, added: “Four in ten of the life saving air ambulance missions carried out by our helicopter emergency service are funded through Gifts in Wills, so this is a great mechanism to support the charity. I’d encourage anyone over the age of 55 who is looking to make a Will to find out more about the scheme and our partnership with HallmarkHulme.”
