LUXURY bone china made in Worcestershire is to make its debut at a luxury international trade fair.

Pieces made by Chamberlain & Co and produced from a factory at Hanley Swan, near Malvern, are to be shown at the Maison & Objet fair in Paris.

The brand is named after Robert Chamberlain, who was head decorator at Worcester's Royal Porcelain works in the 1750s, and is owned by Bronte Porcelain.

Matthew Riddell, Bronte Porcelain's managing director, said: "Debuting at Maison & Objet are the four new Chamberlain & Co collections which clearly exhibit the philosophies that drove Robert Chamberlain, quality, beauty, attention to detail. are still at the forefront of the company’s culture, with each article created by hand and finished to exacting standards.

"Heritage, botanicals and Georgian splendour are the main themes of this inaugural anthology, with chinoiserie adding an alluring flavour reminiscent of the days when the potteries were in their absolute prime."

The collections to be shown in Paris are Heritage Garden, Imperial Imari, George III and Chamberlain Black. The company also specialises in individual bespoke commissions from vases and plates to figurative sculptures.
