BUSINESSES learned how to make more effective connections with their target audiences at Finditinworcestershire’s April breakfast and networking event.

At the "Soul Business with Chris Green" session, Chris Green of Chris Green Media explained how delegates can communicate with their clients better by improving clarity, vision and purpose. Mr Green said the biggest challenge facing modern businesses is communication and most people opt for message first and method last, when the quality of the message is what is important. He showed the audience how to do some effective soul searching and create their own vision and mission.

Mr Green discussed his "soul business" ethos and how he guides businesses to communicate a clear, meaningful vision that customers will buy into. He also explained that delegates should promote the character behind their business, rather than simply focusing on their capability and efficiency.

Sue Crow, economic development manager at Worcestershire County Council, added: "While many businesses have selling strategies in place and clear success metrics, they don’t always tell their story and evoke an emotional reaction from their target audience. Chris Green led an inspiring presentation that showed delegates how they can put their business’ vision and character forward in a meaningful way to connect deeper and build stronger customer relationships."

Following the popular presentation, more than....delegates took part in Finditinworcestershire’s networking session, the place to talk business with many of the county’s key leaders, business owners and decision makers across a wide range of industries. A number of delegates maximised their presence at the event further with an exhibition stand, giving their business increased exposure among the Worcestershire business community. Exhibitors at the event included University of Wolverhampton, Get Set for Growth, Textlocal and CleeCo.
