A WORCESTER lawyer has won an award for her work for the victims of clinical or medical negligence.

Inez Brown, a partner with Medical Accident Group, the clinical negligence specialists and sister company of Worcester High Street law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys, picked up the partner of the year category at Birmingham Law Society’s annual awards held at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre.

She said: "I am thrilled to have won this award, especially in the face of stiff competition. It is a real honour to have my work acknowledged in this way and it is also a tribute to my team and our dedication to helping those who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses.”

Mrs Brown has led the team at MAG since 2012, and has a national reputation for the quality and scope of her work, acknowledged by legal directories The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners as a leader in her field. She deals with those affected by the most serious illnesses or catastrophic injuries, and also uses her expertise to further others’ learning through lectures and seminars, as well as contributing, for the last three years, to a post graduate module at Northampton University, for professionals who manage children and young people with a brain injury.

Mushtaq Khan, the Society’s president, added: "The awards were extremely hard-fought, with all categories well-represented, demonstrating the breadth and depth of talent we have in the region.”

Formed by parent company, Harrison Clark Rickerbys, and based in Worcester, Medical Accident Group provides specialist medical negligence and major injury lawyers committed to getting the best results for those who have suffered a medical accident or major injury.
