THE chief executive of a Worcester-based developer is in the running for a national 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award.
Colin Cole, chief executive of Lioncourt Homes, based in Warndon, has been shortlisted in the annual entrepreneur of the year award run by Ernst & Young.
Mr Cole started Lioncourt Homes in a room at his home and has seen it grow to become one of the fastest growing house builders in the UK.
Lioncourt Homes was recently named as the 25th fastest growing company in the UK, by the Sunday Times and it has just been awarded a five-star quality rating in the annual Home Builders Federation (HBF) customer satisfaction survey for the second successive year.
Mr Cole said: "I am delighted to have been included in the shortlist for Entrepreneur of the Year although I have to say that this is most unexpected. We have had a very successful few years where everyone in the Lioncourt business plays a significant role."
