WORCESTERSHIRE-based children’s services group Core Assets has been recognised for its international operations in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table.

The seventh annual league table ranks Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest growing international sales, with Core Assets, which has its headquarters in Bromsgrove, ranked 152 in the table, up from 195 last year, one of only 17 organisations in the Midlands to gain a place in the list.

The company was founded as an independent fostering agency in 1994, and has expanded internationally into services for children and families, as well as consultancy and resourcing for the social care sector. This has helped the organisation support governments and local jurisdictions on an international scale, working together to provide solutions for children and their families in need, with a focus on providing safe and stable settings that can help children and young people to thrive.

Estella Abraham, executive director at Core Assets and responsible for the International Companies, said: “The Core Assets Group international footprint is established in eight countries outside the UK where we have invested in delivering best practice fostering and other services for children and families. We continue to develop, and are pleased to have just achieved our first fostering placement in Japan, a milestone for us and the international fostering sector.

“It remains our ambition to raise standards in foster care, improve the carer experience and improve the life chances of children the world over with a commitment to safe care. This year’s Sunday Times ranking is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all of our employees internationally, and an achievement that we’re all incredibly proud of.”

As well as operating in countries including Republic of Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Canada, USA, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, Core Assets has spearheaded projects in Bulgaria to place 80 children in to foster care from institutions, as well as impacting legislation and outreach work in India.
