PARENTING retailer Mothercare has given its Worcester store a complete makeover.

The outlet in CrownGate shopping centre has been fully refurbished, one of a series of newly designed stores launched under the brand direction of company chief executive Mark Newton-Jones. Covering more than 7,500 square foot, the "larger format"shop has been designed to provide a calm environment and stress-free shopping experience for customers.

Mr Newton-Jones explained: "Refurbishing our stores is a pivotal moment for us, as we turn Mothercare into a state of the art, digitally-led business supported by fabulous stores. Our larger-format stores house a greater range of new and improved products offering customers more choice and an enhanced shopping experience."

As part of the re-design, local shoppers can now browse more than 3,000 products across nursery furniture, children’s clothing, maternity wear, pushchairs and car seats. With two car seat fitting bays, Mothercare’s expert staff can also fit car seats for busy shoppers without delay. Housed under the same roof is a new concept Early Learning Centre toy shop, where customers will discover an array of toys to suit every stage of a child’s development with plenty of fun features to keep little ones entertained during their visit.

Smart in store features include a new nursing lounge, spacious fitting rooms in the maternity area for mums to be and those already with pushchairs. New style graphics and hanging mobile signage will guide customers through the store, while for an enhanced shopping experience, store staff are equipped with Ipads to help customers choose from an even wider range of products online.
