A WORCESTER firm has launched a year-long fundraising campaign for a city based charity.

CB Chartered Accountants has launched the fundraising for Worcester-based charity Onside Advocacy.

The firm, located on the Shire Business Park, has planned a fun and exciting programme of fundraising events that will be taking place throughout the year.

Onside Advocacy provides practical and proactive support to ensure disadvantaged people are treated fairly as citizens and have equal rights within all aspects of their lives.

The firm has already raised almost £100 for the charity through a raffle which took place at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber Expo in March. Other events planned include the firm’s annual golf day, which takes place in September, cream tea, bake sales and dress down days.

John Painter, managing partner said: "We have always placed charity fundraising high on our list of priorities. Last year, the firm raised £2,000 for two local charities, Worcestershire and Gloucester and Young Carers.

“Whilst there are some excellent larger charities within the county we are aware of the many smaller charities which exist and which are desperate for funding support.

“What impressed us about Onside was not only their day-to-day support of these individuals but also their social enterprise initiative, Café Mix.

"The cafe serves delicious food and drink but most importantly provides opportunities for vulnerable to gain experience in a real working environment by baking, preparing food and serving customers.”
