A WORCESTERSHIRE mum is bringing language lessons to children in the county after setting up a new franchise of a successful business.

Mum-of-two, Shannon Fearn, will open a Kidslingo franchise teaching French and Spanish in September that will cover Droitwich, Stourport and Worcester.

Already 60 franchisees exist nationwide, teaching more than 6,000 pre-school youngsters the languages through fun and interactive songs, games, actions, role play and storytelling.

She has taken up the new venture following her job as a secondary school modern foreign languages teacher.

Shannon joins her Kidslingo neighbour Laura Symonds who already has a successful Kidslingo franchise teaching Spanish in Herefordshire and Malvern.

As part of her launch, Shannon will be offering free taster sessions for families in the area, as well as for any nurseries or primary schools that may require her services.

Shannon said: "I have always been passionate about languages and teaching and wanted to start a business where I could use my knowledge and expertise at the same time.

"I also wanted to be my own boss and have more time to dedicate to my two children.

"With languages now being compulsory at primary school age, I feel that they are now more important than ever.

"I can’t wait to work with private families, preschools, nurseries and primary schools to deliver quality education that inspires children to learn.’
