A WORCESTERSHIRE recruitment firm is inviting companies to help them raise thousands of pounds for a local charity, through its annual golf day.

Redditch-based Workforce Recruitment is holding its corporate golf event at Blackwell Golf Club on Wednesday, September 6, where it will raise funds for Primrose Hospice, the firm’s chosen charity for 2017.

The day will start at 11am with breakfast and will end with a two-course evening meal. The cost for a team of four is £400 with golfers receiving a variety of prizes including for the longest drive and a special closest to the pin contest.

Joe Alekna, managing director for Workforce Recruitment, which specialises in supplying staff for key sectors including warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, media and design and business administration, said: “Our golf day is always a popular event which brings people and businesses together from Redditch and beyond.

“This year we are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Primrose Hospice and we have already seen a fantastic response.

“There are a limited number of team places left for the event so I’d urge people to contact us to get involved if they would like to be part of a fantastic day of golf and fundraising.”

Anyone interested in taking part in the golf challenge can email Samantha Clarkson at Workforce Recruitment through sclarkson@weareworkforce.co.uk or call 01527 509000.

Primrose Hospice was chosen by staff at the recruitment firm, as the chosen charity to support throughout 2017. Through a variety of fundraising events, which includes charity walks and cycle rides, Workforce has raised more than £5,000 so far.

Primrose Hospice needs £1.75 million every year to keep running all its services, but gets less than a fifth of its funding from the NHS.

The charity relies heavily on voluntary donations, as it offers a day hospice, home service and family support.
