A WORCESTERSHIRE marketing agency has raised money for a good cause through another successful bake off.

Recently Gough Bailey Wright held its annual bake off, which managed to raise more than £150 for Birmingham Dogs Home.

Gough's owners Sue Bailey and Michelle Wright blind judged this year’s entries, which included a pound cake, marble cake, banana loaf and cupcakes.

The winner was a triple-layered buttercream, cookie and chocolate fudge sponge cake from web developer, Jax Cichocki, decorated with paw prints.

Richard Harris took second place, while PR account manager Sara Gillespie came third with the only savoury bake, a batch of delicious sausage rolls.

Prizes included a golden crown, Mary Berry cookery book and homemade jams.

Sue said: “The bake off is an annual highlight and always a pleasure to judge.

"The team always seem to outdo themselves and this year was no different.

"Michelle and I were blown away by the standard of baking.

"Birmingham Dogs Home does fantastic work in rescuing and rehoming abandoned dogs and with us having our very own office pooch, Nellie, we felt it was the perfect fit.”
