WORCESTER-based wireless broadband specialist, Airband has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.

Airband has been shortlisted for Best Rural Broadband Provider in the 2018 ISPA Awards, which are in its 20th year and are judged by a panel of industry experts alongside technical testing by independent advice website thinkbroadband.

Airband has chalked up a string of awards and nominations - with the most recent awards recognising the firm’s outstanding work in the past two years delivering Superfast broadband projects.

The firm, based at County House in St Mary's Street, was also shortlisted for the ISPA Best PR campaign award alongside EE and HyperOptic, for its rural broadband PR campaign.

ISPA Award winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in The Midland hotel in Manchester, on July 12.

Airband director Red Peel said: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for these awards. Our aim has always been to go the extra mile and deliver Superfast connectivity to homes and businesses in rural areas. It’s great for the hard work of the Airband team to be recognised.

"Our nomination is a reminder that we are part of a wider community of industry leaders."
