CONSTRUCTION work has started on a new £13 million headquarters building at Worcester Six Business Park for Kimal's arrival later this year.

Worcestershire company Kimal Plc is relocating and expanding its headquarters to a 140,000 sq. ft. unit at Worcester Six, a £120 million business park located on the outskirts of Worcester near Junction 6 of the M5.

It was the first company to commit to moving to the site, followed by Spire Healthcare and one of Europe's largest 3D printing companies, Material Solutions, part of Siemens.

Alan Press, Chief Executive Officer at Kimal, said: “The start of construction at Worcester Six is another step forward for Kimal and clearly demonstrates our continued commitment to the area which we first invested into in 1990. This impressive new facility will help us realise our exciting growth plans.”

In the early 90s, Kimal launched the first cardiology procedure pack in the UK leading to the opening of its manufacturing facility in Bromsgrove. The company, which now manufactures over 1 million procedure packs every year, is moving from the recently outgrown existing accommodation at Droitwich and creating up to 100 additional jobs.
