A WORCESTER solicitors firm has been involved in a major business deal which will see a UK expansion for Chinese recruitment experts, Beijing Career International.

Harrison Clark Rickerbys (HCR), which has an office in Deansway, advised Beijing Career International on its £22m acquisition of a 52.5 per cent stake in UK recruitment firm Investigo.

Investigo offers interim and permanent recruitment solutions to a diverse range of blue chip companies and SMEs across the UK, Europe and the US.

The HCR team was led by Nicolas Groffman, assisted by Connie Lü, Rohit Fogla and Mary Pears, with support from the employment and real estate teams.

Global lead counsel was King & Wood Mallesons while Weightmans LLP acted for the seller.

Nicolas Groffman said "I am delighted with the way the diverse teams worked together over the two months the deal took. We had real time communications in London, Cheltenham, Beijing and Boston, and this was a great example of multiple practice areas across the firm working smoothly together. It was particularly gratifying to work with such a talented team both from Beijing Career International and KWM, all under the outstanding leadership of the client's manager, Amy Chen."
