A FREE event in Droitwich is aiming to help get house-hunters get on the property ladder.

Experts will be on hand to guide house buyers through the process of purchasing a home at the event being held on September 8.

Those in the market for a new home can stop by and find out more about getting on the property ladder with Help to Buy, and take advantage of a free assessment with an Independent Financial Advisor. The government-backed Help to Buy scheme means you'll only need a deposit of five percent. Buyers can then borrow 20 percent of the purchase price in the form of an equity loan, meaning you'll have access to more affordable interest rates typically associated with a 25 percent deposit. The scheme is available when buying new homes up to the value of £600,000 and is available to both first-time buyers and house movers.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes Midlands, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for people to buy their dream home – and show them just how simple the process can be."

The event is taking place between 10am and 5.30pm, at Redrow Homes Midlands’ The Orchards development, on Off Pulley Lane. For more details visit redrow.co.uk/developments/the-orchards
