WOMEN’S fashion store Roman Originals has seen its sales figures triple since moving into Worcester’s CrownGate Shopping Centre.

The retailer, originally based in The Shambles, opened in CrownGate’s Bell Square in the middle of March in the empty unit formerly occupied by children’s clothing store Adams.

Manager Kate Ford said the store fits in perfectly with surrounding women’s fashion retailers in CrownGate and that the response from customers had been phenomenal.

In the first 10 days, sales figures were almost three times those recorded in its former home.

“Our new home alongside stores like Gerry Weber and House of Fraser is ideal for us and the results are plain to see,” she said.

CrownGate centre manager Erica Burlace said: “Roman Originals is the ideal store to fill such a position in the centre and is a further boost to our women’s fashion offer.”

The Midlands-based company was established as a clothing manufacturer in Birmingham in 1957 and now has more than 150 stores, including those in Evesham, Gloucester and Kidderminster.
