EVERYTHING is in place for the first ever Colwall Festival, which starts on Thursday (July 10).
The Festival, being organised by Steve and Trish Hockett, is intended to be a ten-day celebration of everything the village and its residents have to offer.
It opens on Thursday with a paper crafts display at the Wyche Free Church and a performance of Colwall Primary School's summer play, Dream On', based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, at 7pm in the Village Hall.
There are a huge variety of free and ticketed events taking place around the village over the following ten days, including a Festival Service in St James Church, Mill Lane, at 11am on Sunday, July 13, and performances from amateur theatre group the Colwall Players and the St James Choir.
Other groups getting involved include Colwall Cricket Club and environmental group Colwall Greener, and there are art and photo displays taking place throughout the festival, as well as walks and poetry and music events.
On Wednesday, July 16, teams from the six pubs in the Colwall area will compete at the Colwall Park Hotel for the title of Pub Quiz Team of the Year'.
Mr Hockett looks forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to the festival.
"We've got a huge variety of events going on, and I challenge people to not find something that they will be interested in," he said. "This was always intended as a celebration of Colwall and everything it is about. We do lots and lots of different things in Colwall, and this is about drawing these things together and giving it focus in one large event."
