THE first ever Colwall Festival draws to a close on Sunday (July 20) with an Open Day hosted by environmental group Colwall Greener.
The event takes place at Lower House Farm, in Evendine Lane, from 11am-4pm, and will be visited by the Museum on the Move - an interactive, multi-sensory exhibition looking at climate change in the past, present and future using specimens and artefacts from various museum collections.
There will also be a chance to find out more from Colwall's orchard and allotment groups, and watch DVDs about climate change and other environmental matters.
Green Transport Solutions Ltd will have vehicles on display, teas will be served, and guests are invited to bring their own picnics.
The Colwall Festival has featured a variety of events, including photo and art exhibitions, music and theatre performances, and a competition to find the local pub quiz team of the year.
Organiser Steve Hockett has been delighted with the festival to date.
"It has gone very well, we have had some great events and overall I have been very pleased," he said. "We will definitely do it again next year. Big oaks come from little acorns, and we have a very nice little acorn here that bodes well for the future."
