A 42-tonne lorry became stuck on the twisting Walwyn Road from Colwall to Wyche Cutting this morning (Tuesday, August 19).
Colwall resident Geoff Lewis noticed the lorry as he drove up the road at about 9.30am. He said that whilst the road was not completely blocked, other lorries were unable to pass.
The lorry had gone when he returned to the scene at about 12.30pm.
Lorries are being forced to use that route due to strict weight and size restrictions in place on Colwall Bridge, which is due to be replaced next year.
Mr Lewis said it had become a common sight to see them getting stuck, and said it would be a relief for residents and businesses when the bridge is finally fully reopened.
