COLWALL’S Christmas Village Post service was once again a big success, raising more than £200.

The service is organised by trustees of the village’s Millennium Room, and the money raised is the only source of income to pay for the general running costs of the room.

Every December special post boxes are put up around Colwall and residents are able to post cards or letters to friends and neighbours in the village for a small fee.

After the service raised a grand total of £203 the trustees have issued a vote of thanks to everyone who used it, as well as everyone who helped sort and deliver the mail and the businesses and individuals who housed post boxes.
