COLWALL-based Beacons Development Education Centre is set to hold its annual conference from 10am-4.30pm on Saturday, June 5.
The event will take place at the Baptist Church Hall in Sansome Walk, Worcester and will look at the subject ‘Developing the future in a world of conflict’ with Birmingham University professor Paul Jackson.
Representatives from Quaker and Islamic agencies have been invited to contribute and there will also be contributions from peace-making organisation Concordis and regional Christian Aid organiser Charlotte Marshall.
In recent years Beacons has sponsored several successful conferences in sixth form colleges around the two counties and it holds a range of teaching materials and unique artefacts from around the world at its centre in Upper Colwall.
