A COLWALL woman who had suffered with dementia for three years died at Hereford County Hospital, an inquest heard.
Valerie Probert, aged 64 and from Harbour Drive, was at a care home in Worcestershire on October 31 last year when a carer found her with blue lips and shallow breathing.
Pathologist Carol Caldwell said she was taken to Hereford County Hospital but died following “irreversible brain damage due to prolonged cardiopulmonary resuscitation”.
Assistant deputy coroner Roland Wooderson said Ms Probert died of hypoxic brain damage following prolonged cardiac arrest.
He recorded a verdict of death by natural causes.
