ST Richard’s Hospice has benefited to the tune of more than £700 after six local yoga teachers joined forces to run a fund-raising summer school.

Jo Harper, Annette Brown, Alix Jones, Lilly Stanley, Judy Metcalfe and Miranda White each led a yoga session in Colwall Village Hall.

On average 30 people attended each one, and when the proceeds were added up the instructors were delighted to find out they had raised a total of £725.

“I used to organise something similar when I lived in Hertfordshire, and when I moved to Malvern I thought it would be nice to do it here,” said Mrs Harper. “I understand that there used to be something similar and so we got together to resurrect it. We were delighted with how it went. There was a lovely atmosphere and we’re pleased to raise a good amount of money for a very deserving cause.”

A similar programme the previous year raised £450 for Noah’s Ark Trust.
