Alex Cupper, aged seven, Angela Waller, last year's chairman of the friends, and MP Bill Wiggin.
NORTH Herefordshire MP Bill Wiggin visited Colwall on Saturday, October 15, to officially open a new adventure playground at the Downs Malvern preparatory school.
Mr Wiggin, with the rugby world cup clearly on his mind, performed the ceremony by kicking a rugby ball through a set of goalposts and declaring the facility "open for adventure".
The new playground was built using funds raised by the parents' organisation Friends of The Downs Malvern.
Headmaster Alastair Cook said that everyone at the Downs was grateful to the Friends, who has raised over £10,000 from a wide variety of events over the past year.
Mr Wiggin toured the school and watched the Downs Light Railway in action before leaving, whilst the children at the school got on with enjoying the new playground.
