Cross-Channel advice for baker

BROMYARD baker Darren Rogers will be bringing a weekly flavour of France to Loafers, the business he runs with his wife Sam in the town’s Broad Street.

Loafers has become famous for its range of speciality breads, which include oat and barley loaves, spelt, sourdough, and ancient cereals.

From now on, Loafers will also ‘go French’ every Tuesday, offering croissants, baguettes, and pains de campagne, all baked with French flour.

It’s not just the ingredients which will bring true French saveur to Broad Street. To ensure authenticity, Loafers recruited a real French baker to advise and instruct them on the special touches and techniques needed.

Boulanger Thomas Soccoja, aged 23, helped Darren produce a sample batch of pain artisanal.
