Warning comes to nothing

DESPITE high levels of rainfall over the last few weeks, no active flood warnings have been issued for the river Leadon, which flows through Ledbury.

An alert was issued for the river Frome, which flows through Bromyard and the Frome valley, on Monday, December 31, but was withdrawn the next morning.

Warnings for the river Wye between Hereford and Ross were issued on Saturday, December 29, with flood defences in Hereford being put up for the first time, although they were taken down on New Year's Day as the water level dropped.
