Man arrested after the theft of cash

A MAN in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, following a break in and the theft of cash from Herefordshire Council’s customer services on St Katherine’s car park in Ledbury.

He was arrested on Friday, January 5 and was released on police bail until the middle of February.

The incident took place shortly before 11pm on Wednesday, January 2, when an intruder entered the offices through a window and took a small amount of cash from a cupboard.

PC Pete Webb, of Ledbury, has urged local businesses to review their security measures and ensure no money is kept in offices overnight.
