THOUGHTS of spring will never be far away from the minds of Harling Court residents, thanks to a new work of art in the lounge of the residential home, off New Street.

Members of Ledbury Evergreen Club handed over a large wall hanging to Harling Court staff, and this will now have pride of place in the lounge.

Evergreen Club spokeswoman Barbara Langlois said: “The hanging consists of individual canvases, each painted by a member, and these have been joined to form one large painting, on the theme of a wild flower garden. It has been a lovely project.”

The project was devised, created, and supervised by Jeanette McCulloch, a well-known artist who is based in Ledbury, and was funded with a grant of £300 from the Coneygree Charity.

The idea of making the painting and donating it to Harling Court, where the Evergreen Club holds its weekly meetings, came from the members themselves.

This was after they visited the gallery at the Courtyard in Hereford, last year, where some of their work was put on display.
