Rotary Day will be all smiles and leaflets
3:00pm Monday 25th February 2013 in Ledbury
NATIONAL Rotary Day will be celebrated with smiles and a handing out of leaflets.
Ledbury Rotarians will be out and about by the Market House tomorrow to let people discover more about the Rotary movement.
President Rob Hooper said: “Many people are still unaware of what Rotary does and this day is an opportunity to explain it is a dual gender organisation which embraces equality and diversity.”
Club secretary Jan long said: “We want to dispel the myth of Rotarians simply having a weekly dinner club.
In recent times Rotary has proved to be an innovative and exciting organisation, making the most of opportunities to have fun and fellowship while raising funds to support our communities”.
During the next few months, Rotary will be seen entertaining a group from North Carolina, distributing giant Easter Eggs, helping at the Welland Steam Rally, and, of course, being visible at the Ledbury Ox Roast to mark the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation.
