LEDBURY’S MP has good advice for people trying to balance the books in these cashstrapped times – give up smoking.

Bill Wiggin MP spoke out on No Smoking Day on Wednesday in support of the annual health campaign, which is run by the British Heart Foundation. Statistics show that, on average, a smoker giving up the evil weed would save up to £2,555 a year.

Bill Wiggin MP said: “Stopping smoking is excellent news not only for your health but your bank balance too. Quitting can be difficult. However, there is lots of support available locally and getting more from your money is a good motivator.

“I’d encourage all my constituents to give it a go and see what can be achieved.”
