A NEW piece of theatre is being commissioned to add another dimension to a rural music festival.

The organisers of Nozstock: The Hidden Valley are seeking submissions of new work to feature in the daytime theatre programme for the Bantam of the Opera Stage.

This year’s celebration of music, arts and oddities takes place at Rowden Paddocks, Bromyard, from Friday to Sunday, July 26-28 with the Strypes, Chas n Dave, Ava Leigh and Dub Pistols already named on the bill.

The piece can take the form of devised theatre, new-writing, puppetry or physical theatre, be 30-60 minutes in duration and £350 is on offer to create the work.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday, April 19 and the winner will be announced on Monday, May 6.

For more information and to submit a proposal contact the festival’s theatre manager, Ali Campbell, via e-mail at ali@nozstock.com.
