A WORKING party has been set up to discuss the refurbishment of the town’s war memorial.
Ledbury Town Council has received several letters from local residents calling for the memorial, in the High Street,to be enhanced.
One idea is to add flames or cannon balls as decoration at its four corner stones.
But Coun Martin Eager has pointed out that the memorial has already been added to, and the four corner stones themselves were not part of the original design.
In view of the need to discuss the war memorial in greater depth,town councillors have decided to setup the working party, and a representative of the Royal British Legion will be invited to be a member of the discussion group.
