Survey will help to shape town’s future
9:00am Monday 28th October 2013 in Ledbury
QUESTIONNAIRES aimed at helping shape how Ledbury develops in the future are being delivered to residents from this weekend.
Thousands of the forms have been printed and are set to be delivered by volunteers over the next three weeks.
One questionnaire will be delivered for every adult in a household, while there is a separate survey for young people being distributed through schools.
Volunteers will be returning to collect questionnaires a few days after they are delivered, and anyone that misses them can return their form to collection points at the library, Master’s House, Ledbury Newsagents or the town council offices in Church Lane before Saturday, November 30.
Coun Liz Harvey, chairman of the town plan steering group, is urging people to take the chance to have their say. “There’s so much going on in Ledbury. I’m sure everyone will have an opinion and here’s how to express it,”
“This is your town and it’s your time to have your say.”
Mayor Terry Widdows called the town plan a “oncein- a-decade opportunity” for people to determine the priority and direction of their community.
“I really hope that everyone in the town will use the opportunity to get energised and excited about Ledbury’s future,” he said. All returned questionnaires will be entered into a draw to win one of two £50 cash prizes.
Coun Widdows will make the draw during the Ledbury Town Council meeting on Thursday, December 12.
