The trial of a 23-year-old man on a charge of causing death by careless driving in Herefordshire has been put off until next year.

A witness was unavailable at the start of a five-day trial scheduled to start at Worcester Crown Court on Monday and the case could not proceed.

Jack McKenzie, who was aged 18, died on September 3, 2010, when he was the passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa driven by Joel Jones. It was involved in a crash with a John Deere tractor and a Fiat Punto on the B4348 near Peterchurch.

Jones, of Chapel Bungalow, Abergavenny, denies causing death by careless driving.

Judge Toby Hooper, QC, granted an application for an adjournment until February 1, 2016.
